Boels Baulog: from the planning to implementation phase

Boels Baulog covers all phases from planning to implementation. This ensures a continuous flow of materials, which means that the right materials can be provided to the right location at the right time. This includes coordination of transport to the construction site, provision of materials and space on the construction site, as well as disposal of construction waste.

From access control to surveillance, supply logistics to waste management logistics

Boels Baulog stands for ideal organisation of a construction site. We take on logistics management, scheduling and all ancillary services for your project so all trades can focus on what they do best. This means construction processes can be made more efficient, therefore saving on time, materials, and costs. The primary focus is on construction logistics planning.

Construction logistics planning

Feasibility study

  • Information from the general overview of the construction project, the conditions on site, and the general boundary conditions of the environment is used in the feasibility study.
  • This information is used to prepare the feasibility study, which is the basis for further planning steps.

Draft planning of the logistics concept

  • A workflow plan for the key construction phases is developed to provide support for construction logistics.
  • This comparison between structural requirements and the building conditions with the requirements arising from the course of construction results in a detailed concept.
  • Perspectives from authorities and the neighbourhood are also supported here.

In-depth planning of the logistics concept

  • If these are larger projects with several different construction developments at the same time, restricted areas for logistics and accessing the site are common.
  • Ideal fine-tuning takes place amongst those involved as part of in-depth planning to avoid issues. At the same time, recommendations for action are drawn up for the relevant construction measures and the construction companies involved.

Logistics manual

  • The logistics manual is considered to be a supplement to the framework agreement.
  • All logistics-related processes are stated for both the contractor as well as their sub-contractors. Descriptions of registration processes for all staff and materials as well as the supply and waste disposal concept can be found here, amongst other things.

Site preparations and infrastructure planning

  • We handle the temporary infrastructure such as site electricity, container systems, site water, heating, winter services, and security.
  • At the same time, we also carry out planning of horizontal transport paths (access roads, construction roads and access controls) as well as vertical transport (lifts, cranes).
